Evan Endures Frustration At Round 4 of NCIKC

*
Returning to Grand Prix Greensboro (GPG) for Round 4 of the NCIKC, Evan was optimistic that the event would be a good one.
After the controversies from Round 1 at GPG racers were assured that the event would be run this time in a bit more normal and fair manner.
That fact indeed came to pass; the only challenge the drivers had to contend with this time - other than the very narrow confines of the track itself - was the immense variability in the racing karts' performance.
Of the three karts provided Evan for the three heats, two proved to be problematic. Being that GPG do not have many karts in reserve, drivers were forced to drive karts that had performance hindering issues.
That said, Evan put his head down and got to business.
Even his competitors acknowledged that his driving performance in each of the karts he drove was outstanding.
For this round, Evan did not accumulate enough points to make the final. Further, he sustained a blow to his NCIKC championship points total and fell from ninth overall to twelfth (of over 38 drivers in the Championship).
"Sometimes you are dealt a bad hand, just like playing cards. I tried to play the cards - drive the karts - just as well as I could. Today, that wasn't good enough for points but I'm personally satisfied with how I drove what I was given." Evan noted a few hours after the event.
The NCIKC takes the Easter weekend off and will start up again at the Championship's fourth participating facility - Rush Hour Karting in Raleigh, NC - on Saturday, 18 April.
