York to partner with stalwart team led by 2005 SCCA Northwest Region ITA champion.

Kevin York will return to Portland International Raceway with West Coast Touring Cars' (WCTC) for the 2009 edition of the Twelve Hours of the Cascades.
The event is the 34th annual edition of the famed endurance race. Unique this year however, will be two events within one. There will be a six-hour race as well as the twelve-hour race. Both will start at the same time and competitors will be on track together. The six-hour event will simply end in the middle of the afternoon while those in the twelve-hour will race into the dark of night.
"Our participation in this event - and successful completion of it - will be an exciting way to continue the relationship with our friends at the West Coast Touring Cars team." Kevin remarked. "I look forward to driving with Rob again as well as our co-drivers for the event, Paul Forgey and Tom Olsson. I know the team - and sponsor Car Tender - are working hard to make the new BMW PRO3 car fast and reliable. We'll be gunning for a P2 class win this year to go along with the P3 class win I enjoyed in 2004."

Presented by the Cascade Sports Car Club, the race will be sanctioned by the International Conference of Sports Car Clubs (ICSCC).
Held on Saturday, 17 October 2009, the race will start at 09:45 PST and conclude that evening at 21:45 PST. Practice sessions for the event will be held during Friday, 16 October 2009.
