York and Dunn endure wetness at Four Hours of Pacific Raceways.

Pacific Raceways | Kent, Washington
"...there was a Neon running at a pace unlike I have ever seen a Neon running before."
The above quote - from a fellow competitor (who eventually went on to win his class in the event) - sums up the West Coast Touring Cars' 2007 attempt at the Four Hours of Pacific Raceways.
Apart from a bungled (read, l-o-o-o-n-g) pit stop for rain tires shortly after the four-hour speed contest began, York and Dunn hustled the Dodge Neon ACR around the soaking wet (but sometimes drying) Pacific Raceways for all it was worth.
Considering the car is "punching above its weight" in terms of classification, a ninth-place class finish and twenty-fourth overall (of thirty-nine) finish were very respectable.
York started the race and drove right up to the allowed maximum of three hours.

When Dunn got in, he continued the swift pace and diced for class position right up until the waning laps of the event.
With the goal of finishing a full endurance event (remember the disaster in Portland last Spring?!) now satisfied, the WCTC team looks forward to the 2008 North West Endurance Racing Series with more serious goals in mind.
Stay tuned!
