Kevin York supports Make Roads Safe
22 March 2007 | Madison, Wisconsin
Make Roads Safe is an international campaign to put global road traffic injuries on the G8 and UN sustainability agendas.
Building on the work of the Commission for Global Road Safety, the Make Roads Safe campaign aims to raise public and political awareness of a global road traffic injury epidemic that kills at least 3000 people, and 500 children, every day.
2007 will be a crucial year for putting global road safety on the international agenda. The Make Roads Safe campaign is focusing on the first United Nations Road Safety Week, 23-29 April 2007, the G8 summit in Heiligendamm, Germany, and the 62nd Session of the UN General Assembly, in Autumn 2007, where we are calling for a strong UN resolution to include the key policy recommendations of the Make Roads Safe report. Please get involved. As an individual please sign our petition to the United Nations. If your organisation or company agrees with the aims of Make Roads Safe and would like to support the campaign please e-mail info@makeroadssafe.org.
In the United States please email usoffice@makeroadssafe.org
The Make Roads Safe campaign is coordinated by the FIA Foundation.
