After initial conversations between the management staff (aka "Dad") and driver team (Dad - same as above - and Evan, aka "Son") of YORK Motorsport, it has been decided than an effort will be put forth to compete in the 2006 Indoor Kart World Championship (IKWC).

Indoor kart racers from all over the world will meet to compete and determine the season’s World Champion Driver, World Champion Team, and starting in 2006, a World Champion Nation.

Evan was heard saying:

"With all the indoor racing that Dad and I have done and continue to do here in the Seattle area, I think that competing for a World Championship would be really cool!!"

In talking with Kevin, he was heard saying:

"We've talked about forming a two-driver team. To have YORK Motorsport represented on the world stage would be a neat addition to our accomplishments. Taking what we've learned on the local scene and comparing it to the abilities of other indoor racers from around the globe would be a great challenge!!"

In 2005, the IKWC united in competition for the first time some of the best indoor kart racers in the world from the Netherlands, Austria, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Canada, USA, Jamaica, and Ukraine, and included numerous experienced drivers from many levels of racing as well as less experienced hopefuls looking for a real challenge. The 2005 IKWC event was featured on Racer Magazine, National Kart News, and the Motorsports Mania TV show on Fox Sports.

The host track for the 2006 Indoor Kart World Championship by Racingschools.com will again be the F1 Race Factory Indoor Kart Racing facility in Phoenix, Arizona – USA. This world class, state-of-the-art facility has just completed its second year of operation.

Evan York and his dad, Kevin York - both of YORK Motorsport - are seasoned indoor racing veterans. Competing and practicing in many of the Seattle-area indoor racing centers has brought them many good times - and successes!!
