YORK Motorsport congratulates Compass360/Racing

8 October 2005 - Virginia International Raceway

In fine style, our friends at Compass360/Racing have taken their first professional race win!

The event was the Virginia International Raceway 200, the final round of the 2005 Grand American Road Racing's Grand Am Cup Series.

In lead driver and team owner, Karl Thomson's own words, here are some thoughts about the event:

At VIR, it all went our way. We had a good pit strategy, had a solid driver
line-up, and almost everything went flawlessly. I started the race, having
qualified 12th of a 32-car grid. The conditions were very wet and (having
been schooled at Mosport, which seems to be wet a third of the time) I
managed to move the car up to second, before moving back to third after a
good battle with one of the Turner BMWs. On lap 17 (of the 52-lap race), as
the rain subsided we decided to bring the car in for dry tires and a driver
change

We look forward to more good things to come from Compass/360 Racing in 2006 - to include our planned participation with them.

We're looking for like-minded marketing partners interested in furthering their brand. There's good exposure and promotional opportunities that are only available through auto racing, and we offer that to our partners, along with the excitement of being involved in the fast-paced, adrenaline-filled environment of professional motorsports.
