With the 2005 Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series racing season rapidly approaching, many teams were at Daytona International Speedway this past weekend testing new cars (and driver) combinations at the officially sanctioned "Daytona Test Days". The three-day event concluded Sunday with 48 cars logging a total of 1,871 laps (6,660.76 miles) around the 3.56-mile Daytona International Speedway road course.

Kevin York, of YORK Motorsport, took keen interest in the proceedings.

"While I clearly would have prefered to be on track driving, this time of the year also is a time for planning. We are in discussions with a few select teams about a full 2005 effort and also are moving toward a marketing-partner agreement as I speak."
